OUR NUTRICHECK TOOL – A SIMPLE ONLINE NUTRIENT CALCULATOR

This tool will help you to know how much nutrition your patient is receiving in the volume of Abbott feed you wish to prescribe them.
Simply log on to Nutricheck

  1. Select the Abbott feed, the prescribed volume, the patient's gender and age
  2. Press calculate and the tool will provide the macronutrients, vitamins and minerals provided by the feed in the prescribed volume.

For the vitamins and minerals, the tool will also assess if the patients will be meeting the recommended dietary intake (RDIs)/Adequate Intakes (AIs). For simplicity, the tool uses a traffic light system as a colour code to allow easy identification at a glance on whether their patients are meeting their nutritional requirements in the prescribed volume. The nutrients will be colour coded as:

  • Dark Green - when greater than or equal to 100% of the recommended dietary intake (RDI) or adequate intake (AI) is achieved
  • Light Green - when greater than or equal to 100% of the estimated average requirement (EAR) is achieved
  • Orange - orange if less than 100% of the RDI or AI is achieved.

Abbott HENS Portal is accessible by Healthcare Professional linked to an authorised Health Service or Hospitals. To access - please contact your local Abbott Key Account Manager or Customer Service to clarify.
